10 things that might happen if Facebook shut down): adapted from xin.msn.com
People might actually start talking to each other again .
It may be hard to believe, but there was once a time where people spoke to each other face to face. In the age of Facebook, this means of communications has fallen by the wayside.
Heck, even phone conversations are more of a rarity now. Facebook's demise might resurrect both.
There may finally be a need to take your own photos again.
Facebook has brought up a new breed of lazy: those who can't even be bothered to take their own pictures.
After all, if your friends have cameras and are going to tag you anyway, what's the point? Well, if Facebook didn't exist, those too lazy to take their own pictures would have no memories to look back on.
People would have to ask you how your day is instead of checking your profile for the answer.
Everyone talks about how they're feeling on Facebook these days. In fact, it's gotten to the point where you're more likely to check someone's profile to see what mood they're in for the day.
You might start sharing links via email again.
Email sharing has been dying ever since Facebook started letting people share links and videos on their site. The demise of Facebook would certainly mean the resurrection of email sharing.
Planning events might become a chore again.
The formula for planning events has become extremely simple these days. All you have to do is create an event on Facebook and pick who to invite out of your friends list. Then, send a message to everyone's inbox to ensure that they know what's happening, and you never have to look back.Good luck doing that without Facebook. Planning events will become annoying again.
Being poked by strangers would be abnormal again.
The whole act of "poking" and getting poked back so that you can view someone's profile is a bit strange, don't you think?
If some stranger poked you in real life, wouldn't your first inclination be to either punch them in the face or scream?
There would be an end to FarmVille.
Need we say more? The bane of society would find the end of its days!
It would be much harder to remember birthdays.
Thanks to Facebook, you know whose birthday it is every single day of the year. Try doing that without Facebook.
There might be such a thing as an “exclusive” event again.
Once upon a time, you needed to have the right connections to have an inside track into getting VIP entrance into events. These days, Facebook has created ridiculously padded "guest lists" that has spawned the habit of clicking "attending" on every single event you get invited to.
Friendship would stop being a numbers game.
Some people have turned their social lives into a numbers game, defining themselves by how many friends they have on Facebook.
Well, closing down Facebook would stop that. People would stop caring about the quantity of their friends, and instead focus on the quality of the company that they keep.
all true. we could die with facebook)):
